Lamborghini Huracán EVO: Complete Evolution for the Italian Supercar
Following the updated Audi R8, Lamborghini introduced the Huracán EVO as a comprehensive evolution of its V10 supercar. The model incorporates technology previously seen in the Huracán Performante while retaining a more accessible character.
Now with 640 HP
The Huracán EVO’s naturally aspirated V10 produces 640 hp at 8,000 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
With a dry weight of 1,422 kilograms, it has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.22 kg per horsepower. Its all-wheel-drive system helps it accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 9 seconds. Top speed is 325 km/h, while braking from 100 to 0 km/h requires 31.9 metres.
Rear-Wheel Steering and Improved Dynamics
To improve cornering performance, Lamborghini combines all-wheel drive with rear-wheel steering, recalibrated adaptive suspension and torque-vectoring technology capable of directing torque to individual wheels. The dynamic steering system has also been revised.
Strada, Sport and Corsa driving modes adjust the vehicle’s responses to suit road driving, more dynamic use or track-focused performance.
Design Changes
The exterior revisions influence both appearance and aerodynamic performance. New bumpers, a lower front lip, a redesigned rear spoiler and a diffuser with twin exhaust outlets help generate appropriate downforce at high speeds.
Inside, the centre console features a vertically positioned 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen. It controls numerous vehicle, infotainment and navigation functions, supports Apple CarPlay and accepts gesture and voice commands.
An optional telemetry system can record and analyse data collected by the vehicle’s sensors.
